    Mark,
Great memories from Shell Point. Sounds like a good time. Can you send me some info on the Kona worlds in Islamadora. What is a Kona? I’m in PACNW mostly sailing Lasers but itching for the old one design windsurfing we enjoyed in the 80’s.

Hi , My name is Helen Wilson from South West Ireland and I run a Water Sports centre here on the ring of Kerry. I am writing to you as I am looking for a windsurfing Instructor for our Summer season in a small but vibrant centre on the Ring of Kerry. Duties would include the tuition of windsurfing and helping with children’s camps and Teen camps from the first week in July to about the 3rd week in August. Bed and Board is included and the wages are 320 euros a week. There is a staff of around 7 people and it would be 5 and a half days a week. This would be a great opportunity for any of your members that would like to travel to this side of the world.
Thank you for taking your time to read this and I hope you would put it out there for me,
    Kind Regards,
    Helen

    Hi,

My son is 11 years old and is very enthusiastic about windsurfing, which he practices for the past 2 years. He is a member of the Israeli Windsurfing Union which is the breeding house for some Olimpic Medalists like Gal Friedman (Gold, Athens 2004) and Shachar Zuberi (Bronze, Beijing 2008).

We are thinking of moving to the SF Bay Area and I am looking for the right place for him to continue pursuing his passion of windsurfing and take part in a group that is preparing kids his age to excellence in racing to become Olympic medalists.

Please contact me with any information that can help at yaniv@gochange.co

    Thank you!

    Yaniv

      Hi Yaniv,
There’s no question that the Israeli windsurfing team is one of the very best in the world, and that the youth development pipeline in the country is much better developed and more structured than we currently have in the U.S. I imagine that your son is on the Techno 293 right now, and unfortunately the top Techno club in the country is in… Miami – a bit far from San Francisco for weekly practice! However, the St Francis Yacht Club will have great coaches and good support for him. And the Bay Area will be a fantastic place for him to hone his skills. You should contact Stephen over there: https://www.stfyc.com/Default.aspx?p=DynamicModule&pageid=344619&ssid=246608&vnf=1. Another great option is at the Berkeley Yacht Club, if you happen to be moving closer to that part of the Bay. Best of luck and keep us posted!
