US Windsurfing Team for 2010
The Miami Olympic Classes Regatta (which took place last week in Miami, FL) was the final step for 4 windsurfers to qualify for the 2010 United States Sailing Team. This week-long regatta is part of the Sailing World Cup, the annual world-wide racing series for Olympic Sailing. Most of the top RS:X sailors from around the world were in attendance and we are so proud of how all of our US sailors performed.
Ben Barger, Jimi Sobek, Farrah Hall and Solvig Sayre won spots on the US Sailing Team and can now take advantage of funding assistance from US Sailing to help them reach their goal of competing in the 2010 Olympic Games. You can read daily reports about the regatta (written by two of the newest RS:X competitors) at www.windsurfingtour.com, read about Farrah Hall’s regatta experience at www.farrahhall.com and read about the other sailing classes that competed at http://rmocr.ussailing.org.
