Going the Extra Mile in the Outer Banks!
There are very few things as exciting as taking part in a race with 232 beaming windsurfers on the start line. Maybe a race with 233 racers, but I’m not even sure of that! Watch this short video from our friends at Windtrax and check your pulse afterwards:
With wind every day and a packed schedule that included long distance races, slalom, freestyle, gear talks and many clinics run by some of the world’s best (Andy Brandt, Boujma Guilloul, Wyatt Miller, Tyson Poor, Max Robinson, Phil Soltysiak, and Sophie Thibodeau – I mean, right!?), the week was simply awesome. Start making plans to join the party next year!
Major props to OceanAir Sports, Mike Burns / Infinite Video Productions, Andy Brandt / ABK Boardsports, Fanatic/North, Starboard/Severne, Goya Windsurfing, Pro-Windsurf La Ventana, BoujXSPort, Makani Fins, the IWT and all the other generous raffle sponsors and volunteers who made it all possible.
For a play by play of all the action on the water this week, check out the daily reports by our pals at the International Windsurfing Tour and the daily videos from Mike Burns Productions for OceanAir Sports and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau!
