Here’s a nice introduction course designed many years ago in cooperation with our good friends at US Sailing. While the equipment has changed since then, all of the basic principles outlined in this course still apply. Check it out!
Note: This windsurfing course is designed to present basic information about windsurfing. This course is not designed to substitute for the WIPA certification course or on-the-water training by a WIPA instructor, but may be used as one of the tools in preparation for taking a certified course or in continuing your windsurfing education.
The Course is divided Into 13 Parts:
I am interested in undertaking the windsurfing course during my spring break which starts on the 15th of March.
I have no prior experience with windsurfing or sailing.
I would like to know the following:
How long in the course?
How much does the course cost?
Where exactly is the course taking place?
and lastly, is there anything else I ought to know?
Thank you for your time,
Yoni
I would like to find a windsurf school for end of May or June
Hi Rebecca, thanks for reaching out! Where in the country are you, and are you looking for a school to learn to windsurf or to become an instructor? We have a list of schools right here if you haven’t seen it yet: uswindsurfing.org/windsurfing-schools/.
Live in Warren Ohio and I would like to take windsurfing lessons. Where can I go?
Hi Lee,
Please reach out to Arden here: http://uswindsurfing.org/contact/, and he’ll point you in the right direction!
